Boniek: Germany lost their identity and became a random bunch of players
Former Polish Football Association president Zbigniew Boniek has sharply criticised the German national team after their World Cup exit, saying they have become "a random bunch of players" lacking unity. Boniek, who has followed the World Cup since 1966, said Germany have lost their identity and authenticity as a nation. He singled out Leroy Sané as a talented but uninspired player who lacks the fire of fighting for his country.
