NHS to reward people who walk 30 minutes a day via Movement 26.2 scheme

NHS England has launched the "Movement 26.2" scheme in partnership with former Olympic medallist Sir Brendan Foster, rewarding people for logging 20–30 minutes of walking daily. Over a month, participants would collectively cover about 26.2 miles — equivalent to a marathon. Walks must be tracked digitally via a smartwatch or fitness app. Specific rewards and high-street brand partners have not yet been announced.
