Anthropic launches Claude Science AI workbench and aims to develop its own drugs

Anthropic has unveiled Claude Science, an AI workbench for researchers that consolidates fragmented tools and datasets into one environment and generates figures and visuals. The company also announced ambitions to develop its own drugs using AI. The launch was revealed at the "The Briefing: AI for Science" event in early July 2026.
