Estonian PM: EU must spend more on defence — deterrence cheaper than war's consequences

Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal, speaking at a Baltic states leaders' meeting in Berlin, called on the EU to do more to fund its own security and boost support for Ukraine. He argued that deterrence costs far less than paying for the consequences of aggression. The appeal comes amid heightened security concerns across the Baltic region.
