23% VAT restored: petrol and diesel up by nearly 90 grosze per litre

The restoration of the full 23% VAT rate on fuels has pushed retail petrol and diesel prices up by nearly 90 grosze per litre in Poland. The reduced VAT rate had been in place for several years as part of an anti-inflation shield. The increase hits drivers directly and is likely to raise transport and logistics costs.
