Smoke detectors mandatory in Polish homes from 30 June — fines for non-compliance

From 30 June 2025, all residential premises in Poland — including hotel-type accommodation and short-term rental properties — are legally required to have smoke detectors installed. Failure to comply carries significant financial penalties. The obligation applies to both homeowners and operators of short-term rentals.
