Notre-Dame slashes visitor access, guides furious at new rules
Since 1 July 2025, visiting Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris requires advance booking even for small groups, with the total number of daily entries drastically reduced. French tourist guides have protested the changes, calling them a blow to tourists, families and their profession. The new rules have sparked widespread criticism from the tourism industry.
