Poland bans keeping dogs on chains — new animal protection law awaits president's signature
The Polish Sejm approved Senate amendments to an animal protection law that bans keeping dogs and cats on chains or leashes permanently. Enclosures will be permitted as an alternative, but only under strict conditions. The legislation now goes to President Karol Nawrocki for signature — this is the second legislative attempt to introduce the ban in Poland.
