Polish Sejm passes "lex charlatan" law imposing harsh penalties for pseudomedicine

The Polish Sejm passed on Friday an amendment to the Patient Rights Act, dubbed "lex szarlatan" (lex charlatan). The law aims to eliminate from the market and the internet health services that contradict current medical knowledge and pose a risk to patients' lives. It introduces significant financial penalties for those offering such pseudomedical services.
