430,000 jobs cut in 2025: Volkswagen, Amazon, Meta among 100 corporations with layoffs

Since January 2025, nearly 100 international corporations have announced job cuts, including Volkswagen, UPS, Oracle, Nissan, Amazon, Nestlé, Estée Lauder and Meta. According to layoff-tracking platform TrueUp, at least 430,000 people have lost their jobs so far this year. Companies cite economic uncertainty, falling consumer demand and technological change as the main reasons for the reductions.
