Polish Sejm passes OKI investment accounts law, exempting gains from Belka tax up to 100,000 PLN

The Polish Sejm passed the Citizens' Investment Accounts (OKI) bill by an almost unanimous vote. Investments up to 100,000 PLN and savings up to 25,000 PLN will be exempt from the 19% Belka capital gains tax. The law is intended to encourage millions of Poles to save and invest. The bill now goes to the Senate.
