From 1 July 2026: flat €3 customs duty replaces duty-free threshold for non-EU parcels
From 1 July 2026, the EU has abolished the customs duty exemption for e-commerce parcels from non-EU countries valued at up to €150. In its place, a flat-rate duty of €3 per declared item has been introduced at customs clearance. The change is aimed at improving consumer protection and levelling the playing field for European retailers.
