Polish consumer watchdog warns: "buy now, pay later" transactions up 41.5%
Poland's Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) has warned about the surging popularity of deferred payments. In the first four months of 2025, "buy now, pay later" transactions rose by 41.5 percent compared to the same period last year. The watchdog is urging caution as sale-season shopping sprees drive consumers toward credit-based purchases.
