Hong Kong bookseller Lam Wing-kee, symbol of free speech resistance, dies in Taiwan aged 70
Lam Wing-kee, a former Hong Kong bookseller who became a symbol of resistance to Beijing's crackdown on free speech, has died in Taiwan at the age of 70. He was seized by Chinese authorities in 2015 as part of the notorious case involving booksellers who sold publications critical of Beijing. After his release, he relocated to Taiwan where he continued his work.
