EU ends cheap China parcels – new customs fees target Shein and Temu
The EU plans to scrap the customs exemption for parcels worth under €150 from China, directly hitting platforms like Shein and Temu. The move is designed to level the playing field for European and Polish manufacturers who have long competed against duty-free Chinese imports. Since 2021, VAT on small imports has already brought over 11 billion złoty to Poland's budget, and new tariffs are expected to generate billions more.
