Norway's Viking rowing celebration goes viral at World Cup 2026 — from parliament to F-35 jets
The choreographed "Viking row" by Norwegian fans has become one of the defining celebrations of the 2026 World Cup. Thousands performed it in stadiums, Norwegian MPs did it in parliament, Prince Sverre Magnus rowed in an Oslo subway carriage, care home residents in their 90s joined in rural Norway, and Norwegian Royal Air Force pilots did it in their F-35 fighter jets. The gesture spread from Times Square across the entire country.
