Polish finance minister says 2.5% inflation gives no grounds for rate hike
Finance Minister Andrzej Domański said that June inflation in Poland came in at 2.5% year-on-year according to a flash GUS estimate — below expectations. He argued this gives the Monetary Policy Council no grounds to raise interest rates, which should keep borrowing costs low for Polish consumers.
