Japan to deploy over 800 forest cameras after wave of deadly bear attacks
The Japanese government plans to install more than 800 cameras in forests to monitor the bear population following a deadly surge in attacks. Since April, at least five people have been killed by bears in Japan, and the animals are increasingly spotted in urban centres. Local media report new sightings almost daily.
