We're, of course, talking about famed pulp Western author Louis L'Amour , who penned an impressive catalog of novels in his day. But for the best book to start with for a new made-for-TV franchise, we'd have to go with The Daybreakers , the first published installment of his popular series of novels revolving around the Sackett family.
