DNA test finally identifies 'Green Boots,' Everest's famous frozen landmark
A DNA test has finally solved the long-standing mystery of "Green Boots," the frozen corpse that served as a grim landmark on Mount Everest's main climbing route for decades. The body, located above 8,000 metres, had remained unidentified for years. Genetic analysis has now confirmed the climber's identity, closing one of mountaineering's most haunting cold cases.
