Oyarzabal scores twice as Spain beat Austria 3-0 to reach World Cup last 16

Mikel Oyarzabal scored twice and Pedro Porro added a third as Spain hammered Austria 3-0 in their World Cup last-32 match in Los Angeles. The European champions advance to the last 16, where they will face Portugal or Croatia — their first knockout-stage win since the 2010 title. Goalkeeper Unai Simón kept a fourth consecutive clean sheet, breaking Iker Casillas's record from the 2010 World Cup campaign.
