Bipartisan lawmakers urge HHS to force Eli Lilly to restore 340B hospital discounts
A bipartisan group of Congressional lawmakers wrote to HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. urging him to compel Eli Lilly to reinstate mandatory 340B drug discounts to hospitals. Lilly stopped offering the discounts last month, targeting 50 larger hospital systems that had not shared claims data under a new company policy. The drugmaker argued that roughly 70% of 340B-participating hospitals — over 2,300 — had already complied with its requirements.
