Fuel Prices Up 78–91 Groszy Per Litre — VAT Rise Not the Only Cause

Fuel prices at Polish petrol stations have risen by 78–91 groszy per litre since the government's "Ceny Paliwa Niżej" (CPN) package expired. According to Urszula Cieślak of Reflex, the increase is not solely due to the return of the higher VAT rate — higher wholesale prices and broader macroeconomic factors also played a significant role.
