Korneluk-Żurek Conflict Paralyses Polish Prosecution Service, Sources Warn
A serious, reportedly "destructive" conflict has broken out between Poland's National Prosecutor Dariusz Korneluk and Justice Minister Waldemar Żurek, according to sources cited by TVN's "Superwizjer" reporter Maciej Duda. Żurek is said to have refused to sign prosecutorial appointments, causing a staffing deadlock within the prosecution service. The dispute came to light after Korneluk published a post that raised public questions about conditions inside the institution.
