Major "Chicago P.D." star exits after 14 seasons

If you’re a fan of the One Chicago universe, chances are you’ve had a good time watching TV in the last 10 years. Some of the most popular police procedurals of all time, including Law & Order and NCIS , have long had crossover episodes and arcs where characters from other shows appeared to help solve cases, but One Chicago has taken this model to a whole new level. The One Chicago universe consists of three shows, Chicago P.D. , Chicago Fire , and Chicago Med , and each season, characters from each show appear in others to help solve medical crises, fight fires, or even stop crime. All the One Chicago shows were written and created for TV by Derek Haas , who recently took his talents to Prime Video for the Jensen Ackles -led crime drama, Countdown , which was canceled after only one season.
