Nawrocki vetoes student ombudsman law and FuelEU Maritime regulations
President Karol Nawrocki vetoed two laws: the student rights ombudsman bill championed by Education Minister Barbara Nowacka, and regulations implementing the EU's FuelEU Maritime package. He argued both laws impose excessive bureaucracy and advance the EU Green Deal agenda. Nowacka condemned the veto as an act against students, while Nawrocki justified it by saying the ombudsman law would create a "school prosecution service."
