Marburg confirmed in Uganda as Ebola death toll tops 400 in Congo

Uganda has recorded its first confirmed case of Marburg virus, according to the WHO and local authorities. At the same time, an Ebola outbreak is spreading in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where the death toll has surpassed 400 and the number of infected has exceeded 1,400. Central Africa is simultaneously battling two deadly hemorrhagic fever viruses.
