11-year-old drives pickup into monks in Thailand, killing 8

An 11-year-old boy drove a pickup truck into a group of Buddhist monks on pilgrimage in northeastern Thailand on Thursday, killing eight people and injuring fourteen others. The young driver was taken into custody by police and is awaiting questioning in the presence of child protection officials. The cause of the crash has not yet been specified.
