Intel Nova Lake confirmed to have PL2 power limit at least 220 W above current CPUs

A leak by LC Tech Leaks reveals that next-gen Z990 motherboards for Intel Nova Lake will feature three 8-pin CPU power connectors instead of the current two, pointing to a sustained PL2 power limit of around 470 W. That is at least 220 W higher than Intel's current maximum of around 250 W. Earlier rumours suggested top Nova Lake models with up to 52 cores could consume as much as 700 W.
