July 4 fireworks on National Mall may cause hazardous air pollution
Internal National Park Service documents obtained by The Washington Post warn that July 4 fireworks on Washington D.C.'s National Mall are expected to produce hazardous levels of air pollution. Visitors are advised to "avoid prolonged exposure" in the most affected areas. The warning comes ahead of this year's Independence Day celebrations.
