Tour de France 2026: Pogacar favourite for fifth title, Vingegaard back after Giro win

Tadej Pogacar is the favourite for the 2026 Tour de France and could claim his fifth title, even as Jonas Vingegaard arrives fresh from winning the Giro d'Italia. Alpecin-Deceuninck will count on Jasper Philipsen, a 10-time Tour stage winner who recently won the Tour of Belgium, and Mathieu van der Poel, who pushed Pogacar hard in the Tour de Suisse time trial. Van der Poel was prominent in the spring Classics before taking a racing break.
