Hernán Alberto Gil Flores survived eight days buried under the rubble of a collapsed shopping centre parking lot in La Guaira, Venezuela, following an earthquake. Rescue workers described the survival as "miraculous." It is one of the rare cases of someone enduring such a lengthy entrapment.
