France's National Rally probed for alleged embezzlement of EU funds

European justice authorities carried out searches as part of a probe into alleged embezzlement of EU parliamentary funds by France's far-right National Rally (Rassemblement National). The investigation targets the parliamentary group in which RN leader Jordan Bardella previously sat. Bardella has denounced the probe as judicial persecution.
