Świątek beats Plíšková 6-1 6-3 to reach Wimbledon third round

Iga Świątek defeated Karolína Plíšková 6-1, 6-3 to advance to the third round of Wimbledon. Plíšková was a finalist at the tournament five years ago. Świątek briefly struggled at the start of the second set but recovered more quickly than she did against Taylor Townsend in the previous round. Kamil Majchrzak was also playing his second-round match at the same time.
