Next Xbox (Project Helix) Will Also Drop the Disc Drive, Sources Say

Microsoft's next-generation console, codenamed Project Helix, will not include a disc drive, according to Windows Central sources. Sony has similarly signalled the PS6 will be fully digital, having announced it will stop supporting disc-based physical games entirely from 2028. Both major console makers appear to be going all-digital for the next generation.
