Pickup truck kills 9 Buddhist monks at procession in northeast Thailand

A boy driving a pickup truck ploughed into a group of Buddhist monks on a pilgrimage in northeast Thailand, killing nine of them and injuring eleven others. The monks were taking part in a religious procession when the vehicle struck them. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
