Nearly 1.2 million migrants apply for legal residency in Spain under Sanchez amnesty
Nearly 1.2 million migrants have applied for legal residency in Spain under an extraordinary regularisation process launched by Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez's government. Some 67 percent of applicants come from Central and South America. Catalonia recorded the highest number of applications of any region.
