Chwalińska Sprains Ankle at Wimbledon – Expected Back on Court Within Days
Maja Chwalińska lost in the first round of Wimbledon to Thailand's Mananchaya Sawangkaew after suffering an ankle injury at match point in the second set. An MRI scan taken in England confirmed only a sprain, ruling out a more serious injury. Chwalińska has returned to Poland and will see a specialist in Warsaw on Thursday or Friday, with her club BKT Advantage Bielsko-Biała expecting her back on court within days.
