GUS: Cheap fruit, veg and imports drove May inflation drop
Poland's Central Statistical Office (GUS) explained why May's CPI reading came in below expectations, citing a deeper and earlier-than-usual deflation in food prices. Falling prices of fruit, vegetables and cheap imports were the main drivers. GUS presented its findings at the Statistics Congress, patronised by PAP Biznes.
