10 million Poles lack public transport — government plans reform
Deputy Infrastructure Minister Stanisław Bukowiec announced that up to 10 million Poles live in areas with no access to public transport. The government is pushing a reform of the public transport act, which it hopes to send to the president by the end of July 2026. The legislation aims to address mobility exclusion affecting rural and small-town communities.
