Attempt to revive the 3DO console collapses over rights issues

A long-dormant developer announced plans to revive the classic 3DO console, but the effort collapsed almost immediately after it became clear the company did not hold the rights to the brand. The developer withdrew its pledges shortly after making them public. The short-lived attempt never got off the ground.
