Companies Cap Employee AI Use as Costs Hit $15 Million a Month

Companies including Atlassian, Adobe, and Amazon are throttling or cutting off employee access to AI tools as costs spiral out of control. In at least one company, AI spending has tripled to over $15 million per month. Adobe has ended unlimited access to Claude, and some firms have blocked certain AI models entirely, according to leaked Slack chats and internal documents obtained by 404 Media.
