Poland seeks 10,000 PLN yearly for Nazi victims — Der Spiegel: "ridiculous sum" but Germany should pay
The Polish government is demanding Germany pay living Polish victims of Nazi crimes 10,000 PLN (approx. €2,300) per year in reparations. A commentator for the German weekly Der Spiegel called the amount a "ridiculous sum," but argued the German government should nonetheless pay it. The demand concerns direct victims of Nazi crimes who are still alive.
