Poland faces surgical ward paralysis this autumn — patients to be turned away, NIL warns
Piotr Pisula of the Supreme Medical Council (NIL) warns that Polish surgical wards face paralysis this autumn, with patients who have scheduled procedures being turned away and operations postponed. He also sharply criticised the politicisation of hospitals, comparing them to municipal companies staffed with unqualified political appointments, calling it "de facto legal theft of public money." He also disclosed current doctor salary levels in Poland.
