Dozens of tonnes of dead fish removed from Pilchowice reservoir after Tauron drainage
The operation to collect dead fish from the Pilchowice reservoir and the Bóbr river in Lower Silesia has ended, with several dozen tonnes of fish removed. The mass die-off was caused by the deliberate draining of the reservoir for repairs to a historic dam owned by Tauron Ekoenergia. Local authorities in Wleń are urging people to avoid recreational use of the Bóbr river.
