Month's worth of rain falls in hours – storms and flooding hit Poland

After several days of extreme heat, a weather front swept across Poland bringing violent thunderstorms and torrential rain. In some locations, the rainfall over a single day exceeded the entire monthly norm for July. Localised flooding was reported in affected areas.
