PiS proposes cutting fuel VAT from 23% to 8% after prices jump by over 1 zloty overnight

PiS leader and candidate for prime minister Przemysław Czarnek announced that fuel prices jumped by nearly one zloty overnight, by as much as 1.20 zł at some stations. In response, PiS has resubmitted a bill to cut VAT on selected fuels from 23% to 8% and reduce excise duty. The party is appealing to Sejm Speaker Włodzimierz Czarzasty to fast-track the legislation.
