Stellantis extends warranty on faulty 1.2 PureTech engine to 8 years

Stellantis is introducing an 8-year warranty covering all its brands sold in Poland, including Alfa Romeo, in response to widespread issues with the 1.2 PureTech engine. The engine became notorious for its timing belt dissolving and causing extensive damage to the entire powertrain. The company appears to have now discontinued the problematic unit entirely.
