EU introduces fees on small parcels from China – VAT revenue exceeds 11 billion PLN since 2021

The European Union is introducing fees on so-called small imports from China, aimed at improving the competitiveness of European, including Polish, producers. Consumers will face higher costs on parcels from Chinese e-commerce platforms such as Shein and Temu. The Polish state budget stands to gain significantly – VAT revenues from this type of import have already exceeded 11 billion PLN since 2021.
