Amazon designing custom AI chips for Echo, Fire TV and future devices
Amazon hardware chief Panos Panay told CNBC that the company is designing custom AI chips for its core devices, including Echo smart speakers and Fire TV. The bespoke silicon is intended to power AI features across Amazon's gadget lineup. Amazon is also experimenting with entirely new AI-driven device categories.
